primarily uses domestic sheep to control vegetation on solar power arrays in the state of Virginia.

Jess Gray is the CEO of Gray’s LAMBscaping, LLC and is responsible for financial oversight, policy, logistics and reporting for the company. She is a 2023 Nuffield International Agricultural Scholar who has represented the operation in more than half a dozen countries. Her research on the future of farming through the solar grazing lens has afforded attention from entities interested in environmental sustainability and economic viability of ranching as society enters a new paradigm (reality/normal) in climate and land ownership transition. Mrs. Gray holds a MBA from King University and has seen suburban sprawl first-hand in her hometown of Doylestown, Pennsylvania.
Marcus Gray is the President of Gray’s LAMBscaping, LLC. A professional Certified Wildlife Biologist through The Wildlife Society, Marcus is the head of natural resources stewardship and animal husbandry. Marcus has worked with farmers and conservationists internationally to support a myriad of initiatives from forest and grassland management to grant programs directed toward large mammal, water quality, soil health, pollinator and other efforts. His family has farmed in what is now the United States since the 17th Century. Raised in Chester, Virginia, he holds and BS in Wildlife Conservation from Maine’s Unity College and a MS in Wildlife Conservation from South Dakota State University.
